Racine – Karen Joy Boyce, age 71, was welcomed home by her heavenly father on December 3, 2021, at All Saints Hospital. She was born on June 21, 1950, in West Milton, Ohio to parents, Denver and Mary (nee. Hyre) Garber. Joy attended Toccoa Falls College, where she received a degree in Christian education. On July 18, 1970, she married the love of her life, Gordon Boyce, who she met while in college.

Joy and Gordon served together at Chapmanville Community Church in Titusville, Pennsylvania, where she was very active as the pastor's wife. Joy loved music especially playing the piano and singing in the choir and leading the children's choir. Joy adored her family and spending time with them. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mom and grandma, that took great care of everyone. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by loving husband of 51 years, Gordon; children, Angela (Jeff) Saunders, Kelly (Matt) Boyd, and Julie (Dominic) Hollister; grandchildren, Erica, Emily, and Ethan Saunders, Alexa & Olivia Boyd, Madelyn, Nicholas, and Haddie Hollister; as well as two sisters, Barbara Hoke and Sandra Kauffman.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Denver and Mary Garber; a baby that she loved but didn't carry to full term.

Visitation will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm. Private burial will take place at the Union Grove Memorial Cemetery.
