Karen K. Tyler, 83, was welcomed home by our Lord on September 6th, 2024.

Born in Viroqua in 1941, Karen, the daughter of Blaine and Ida Hall, grew up on a small tobacco farm, graduated from UW Eau Claire with a degree in music, and married her beloved husband of 56 years, Edwin C. Tyler (1935-2019). After a short stint in modeling, she achieved a M.A. in Counseling which she taught in SE Wisconsin (Trevor, Wilmot, Brookwood, Drought) grade schools during her career.

Karen was active in her church, where she and her husband volunteered their time and expertise in marital counseling. She especially enjoyed singing, playing piano, and directing musical cantatas. Karen wrote, composed and sang 12 beautiful songs honoring her faith, recorded on a CD, leaving her friends and family with a lasting memory of her heart in her voice.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Tyler, daughter, Tammy Tyler, and grandchildren: Mikaela (Lucas) Bohannon, Josiah and Kalyn Coose, who were the moon and the stars in her eyes. She loved hosting her grandkids with their friends for 'Bible studies and brownies'.

Karen will be remembered for her gift of making sure everyone else was taken care of first, along with her unwavering faith, willing generosity, quick humor, and lavish love for family. She has been affectionately called "Fish Eyes" by her loving husband for her big, beautiful blue eyes.

Burial will be alongside her husband at the Union Grove VA cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to contribute to a Pro Life cause of your choice, per Karen's passion for life (Ps 139).

Celebration of Life will take place Saturday,  November 1 at noon at Lighthouse Church in Antioch.
