Waterford - Kathleen Ann Toman, born to Paul and Laverna (nee Barrows) James on February 7, 1942, in Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, at the age of 83. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Kathie's vibrant spirit and warmth will be missed by all who knew her.

Kathie, graduated from Union Grove Highschool, dedicated her professional life as an Administrative Assistant for the State of Wisconsin. Together with her husband, Pete Toman, they created a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. Kathie's radiant smile had a unique way of lighting up any room, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

A passionate Packer fan, Kathie enjoyed the simple pleasures of life including reading, tending to her cherished flowers and gardens, and relishing time spent playing cards—particularly cribbage and sheepshead. She also loved visiting casinos with her husband and shared countless joyful moments with family and friends on their pontoon boat on Tuttle Lake, where memories were made under the sun and stars.

Kathie is survived by her loving children: Ed Criplean, Deb (Phillip) Keeku, Muff (Kim Winther) Criplean, and Jason (Denise) Criplean; her stepchildren Melissa Welter and Peter (Tracy) Toman; along with 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-laws Barb (Rick) Esser and Sandy James, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Kathie was preceded in death by her husband, Pete, her son Donald Criplean, sister Jean, and brother Jim James and her parents Paul and Laverna. Kathie's life was filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. May her spirit forever inspire us to find joy in life's simple pleasures and to spread kindness wherever we go. Rest in peace, dear Kathie—we will carry you in our hearts always.

Visitation will be held on October 26, 2025, from 12pm - 2pm with a short service beginning at 2pm at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home. Private inurnment will take place at Union Grove Memorial Cemetery.
