Racine – Larry Wayne Gleason, age 61, passed away on March 27, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born on May 24, 1963, to parents, Raymond and Bertha (nee. Topping) Gleason.

Larry was a proud elder tribal member of the Ho Chunk Nation and was known for his generous, big heart. He started his career helping his father work in the concrete business. Larry went on to work as a mechanic and fabricator with Zizzo's Trucking for 16 years, where he was respected for his skills and work ethic. Larry enjoyed the many fishing trips he took with family and close friends and often lent a helping hand to those in need.

Larry is survived by his children, Emily (Nicholas Gray) Gleason, Matthew Gleason, and Jacob Gleason; grandchildren, Issak Gray, Autumn Gray, and Scarlett Gray; mother, Bertha Gleason; siblings, Linda (William) Strupp, Edward (Linda K) Gleason, Brenda (Daniel) James and Sandra Gleason; companion, Irene DeSantiago; mother of his children, Theresa Gleason; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Gleason and brother, Joseph (Julie) Gleason.

A graveside service will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11 am.

The family would like to thank the Ho Chunk Nation, St. Luke's Hospital, Aurora Hospitals, Davita Dialysis and nurse Celeste for all the care they showed Larry.
