Salem -Lawrence E. Weidman, 75, passed away October 18, 2017 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center. He was born September 7, 1942 to Ernest and Beulah (Dibble) Weidman in Salem, WI. He attended Salem Grade School and graduated from Central High School in 1960. Lawrence was an Army Veteran having served in the military from 1964-1966. Lawrence married Jo Vogt on March 21, 1969 and they raised their family in the home that he proudly built on Antioch Road. Lawrence joined the Salem Volunteer Fire Department after high school and was a fire fighter for 25 years. He worked for Ken-Crete Ready Mix and was a truck driver for 33 years. Lawrence loved being a cattle and grain farmer, working until 2014. He loved buying things at farm auctions.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Jo; daughter, Keri (Tom) Strause; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, Jacob, and Matthew.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home in Union Grove on Monday, October 23 from 4-7 pm. Burial with military honors will be held privately.
