Union Grove – Lee Charles Stephans, age 72, passed away on September 16, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. He was born on August 6, 1945, to parents Lewis and Ingaborg (nee. Engstrom) Stephans in Iron River, WI. Lee attended Northwestern High School in Maple, WI. On March 9, 1968, he married Priscilla Riebe, and eventually moved to Union Grove together, being married for 49 years. Lee proudly served in the United States Army – First Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War, where he received a Purple Heart for his service.

Lee worked for Case Tractors as a tool and die maker for 38 years. He also worked at Apple Holler, driving the tractors for hayrides around the property. When Lee, wasn't working, he could be found hunting and was a very passionate outdoorsman. Lee was a member of numerous clubs and organizations, including, Racine Instinctive Bowmen, SE Wisconsin Antique Power & Collectibles Society, Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, and BMW Beamers Motorcycle Club. He was also a Boy Scout Leader and a 4-H Mentor for archery. For over 30 years, Lee was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Lee is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla; his children, Kevin Stephans, Laurie (Jeff) Fraizier, Jason (Allison) Stephans; his grandchildren, Jessica, Brandon, and Erin Stephans, Hank Cooper, Jessica (Parker) and Justine Grizzel, Ryan and Natalie Stephans; his siblings, Harvey, Dan (Karen), Richard (Roxy), Cheryl, and Jack (Sherry); Priscilla's siblings, Paulette (Marc) Jerome, Amber Riebe, Janice (Don) Pearce, and Michele Riebe (Warren Rosik); cousin, Sherry (Furman) Peake; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virginia; and brother, George.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on September 21, 2017 from 5-7pm. Additional visitation will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ LDS, 1444 30th Ave, Kenosha WI 53144, on September 22, 2017, from 10-11am. Funeral services will take place at 11am, followed by full military honors and interment at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
