Milwaukee – Zwier, Leonard "Johnny" (Papa), 92, arrived in heaven peacefully from his home on June 10, 2017 after a long and rich life. Leonard is survived by the love of his life, Patricia (Nana), of 66 years. He is further survived by his children, Debra, Dean (Darcy), and Linda (Dan Gauthier), as well as his four beloved grandchildren, Jozef, Samuel, Matthew and Grace. Leonard was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl, and father, Jozef, as well as his siblings, Ethyl, Evelyn, Sylvia, Eddie, Richie, Harry, Gene and infant that died in child birth with mom. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Leonard was born and lived his entire life on the south side of Milwaukee. He was a proud WWII Veteran who was awarded the Phillipine Liberation Medal in addition to numerous others. Leonard was an avid golfer and sports fan who loved following the Braves/ Brewers, Bucks and Packers. Leonard was actively involved in his church serving as President of the Holy Name Society at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Milwaukee. After retiring with over 35 years of service at Mobil Oil Corp, Papa enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Aurora Home Hospice as well as his personal caregivers, Linda, Nevia and Robin who lovingly cared for him in his final days.
