Kansasville – Linda Winkelman, age 74, passed away on November 27, 2024, at Burlington Memorial Hospital after her courageous 14-year battle with breast cancer, surrounded by her family. She was born to parents Bernard and Lois (nee. Dannenberg) Krueger. Linda graduated from Waterford High School. She was united in marriage to Jerry Winkelman on August 8, 1970, and together they had one son. Jerry and Linda were longtime members of St. Peter's Parish in Waterford. Some of her fondest childhood memories were growing up on the family farm, Linda always loved watching animals, especially cows and cardinals. She loved caring for children in her home daycare. In her free time she loved camping on her property in Black River Falls. Her grandsons have wonderful memories of grandma always in the stands watching them in sports. Above all, she loved spending time with her friends, family and grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her son, Scott (Tammi) Winkelman; grandchildren, Logan, Hunter, and Nolan Winkelman; siblings, Peggy Sloboda, Karl (Sherry) Krueger, Susan (Gary) Flashberger, Gloria Schmidt, Dale (Debby) Krueger, Keith (Ling) Krueger, Bruce Krueger, and Brian Krueger; siblings-in-law, Ron (June) Winkelman, Duane (Karleen) Winkelman, Betty Zimmerman, and Keith (Lori) Winkelman;  and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Jerald; her parents; and brothers-in-law, Jerome Sloboda and Jim Zimmerman; sister-in-law, Carol Ann Winkelman.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Waterford from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Her funeral service will begin at 3pm. She will be laid to rest with Jerry at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Friday, December 6 at 10 am.
