Union Grove - Lori A. Pizur (nee. Boquist), age 57, passed away on June 7, 2021. She was born on September 12, 1963 to parents Louis and Joan (nee. Rutkowski) Boquist in Chicago, IL. Lori attended Lake Zurich High School and McHenry County Community College, before finally attending the University of Arkansas for her graduate degree. On September 1, 1984, she married the love of her life, Rick Pizur and were married for 36 years, raising a family together.

Lori worked for many years as a special education teacher for the Kenosha Unified School District. She loved working with and helping the kids she saw every day in her classroom. In her free time, she enjoyed collecting antiques, especially glass, as well as fishing. Lori was very active with the NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), working with the Kenosha Chapter. Most of all though, she enjoyed spending time with her family and will be dearly missed.

Lori is survived by her mother, Joan; husband, Rick; sons, Justin (Brooke) and Ryan; siblings, Kathie Gillaspey (Nick), Mike (Pat), Dan (Sandy), and Ellen (Greg) Sauer, many other relatives, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Louis.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 10:00 am, officiated by Fr. Russ Arnett.
