Louis LaPan, of Union Grove, Wisconsin and formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on August 11, 2020 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home - Boland Hall at the age of 93 1/2 years old. Louis was born on December 21, 1926, to the late George and Laura LaPan. He married Mary (Jean) White on May 17, 1963.

Louis was a proud veteran of the United States Merchant Marines, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Eagles Club #497, American Legion Post #439, the Forty and Eight Veterans Organization, the Polish Legion of American Veterans, and Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He loved life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Jean Kowalsky, Susan LaChapelle (Ben St. Pierre), Wendy Howard, Lynda Sucharski; brother, Dave LaPan; sister-in-law, Susan White; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Louis was preceded in death by his sons, Hunter, Mike, and John White; sons-in-law, Martin Kowalsky and Warren Howard; daughter-in-law, Laurie White; grandson, Correy White; brothers, George and Jack LaPan; sisters, Faye Hall, Yula Honeman, Sally Lisik, and Betty Porritt; sisters-in-law, Pat and Mary LaPan; brothers-in-law, Lyle Hall, Bill Honeman, Joe Lisik, and Don Porritt.

Visitation will be held at Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, Saginaw, MI 48603, on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, with funeral services beginning at 12:00 pm. Burial with full military honors will immediately follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
