Bristol – Michael David Hoyle, age 74, passed away on February 10, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. He was born in Texas on June 22, 1951, to parents Charles and Helen Hoyle. Mike spent his childhood in Texas and joined the military right out of high school. He dedicated much of his life to serving his country and community. He proudly served 7 years in the US Marine Corp and went on to serve 13 years in the US Navy. Mike took great pride in his work, after 20 years in the military he went to Milwaukee Area Technical College for police science, and worked with the Great Lakes Naval Police, and the Kenosha Department of Corrections. Additionally, he shared his love for the outdoors as a park ranger at Bong and Illinois Parks Service.

He married his beloved spouse, Joyce Nelson, on May 21, 1980, and together they built a life rich in love and family. Mike was known for his unwavering commitment to his family and enjoyed spending quality time watching Green Bay Packers games and visiting with his children and grandchildren. He took delight in giving direction and sharing his knowledge, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Hoyle; children, Charles Hoyle, Guy Lunn, Alan Lunn, and Mark Lunn; grandchildren, Jill, Steven, Christopher, Amanda, Dyllan Casey, Shawna, Donald, Ivan, and Krystofer; siblings, Bobby (Diane) Hoyle and Judy Walker; brother-in-law, Richard Warren; and many other relatives and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Hoyle, and daughter, Melissa.

A visitation will be held at Miller Reesman Funeral Home on February 14, 2026, from 10am – 12pm. Full military honors will begin at noon. He will have a private burial at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
