Monica Sue Paap, 47, passed away peacefully in her home on September 25, 2016 after a long valiant battle with cancer. She was born to Edward and Anita Barr in Salem, Ohio on March 1st, 1969 and attended East Palestine High School until 1987. Monica devoted her life to the health care field where she spent many years employed at nursing homes and assisted living facilities, including Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana, OH. After moving to Wisconsin she was employed with Maryhill Manor in Niagara, Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation Center in Burlington, and eventually finished her career with Wheaton Franciscan Infusion Therapy and Cancer Center in Racine. It was through working that she met two amazing women that remained her best and most loyal friends until the very end. When she wasn't spending time with her grandchildren, she loved to be in the North Woods; fishing, boating, and playing with her beloved pups, Reece & Cocoa.
Monica is survived by her husband; Dave, her father; Edward Barr, two siblings; Steve Barr Sr. and Stephany Rupprecht, two daughters; Jamie Kelly and Leigha Kelly, four grandchildren (Malakai, Jocelyn, Caiden, Riley), and one more on the way.

She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, her mother and sister, three aunts and two uncles, along with countless residents and patients from over the years.
