South Milwaukee - Peter "Papa" Gizewski, 83, passed away on October 6, 2018 at Froedtert Center of Advanced Care. He was born in Poland on June 28, 1935 to Joseph and Cecilia (nee Gross) Gizewski. Peter proudly served in the Army from 1958 to 1960 and achieved the rank of PFC (T) E3. He was married to Aurea Serrano and together they had three children. Peter retired from Masterson Company (formerly Johnson Company).

Peter is survived by his children, Peter Gizewski, Jr.; Terry (Sue) Gizewski; and Larry (Bonnie) Gizewski; grandchildren, Megan (Tom) Billigen, Jenna Gizewski, and Alyssa Gizewski; great-grandchildren, Braelyn and Aria; siblings, Marie, Anna, Theresa, Cecilia, Chester and Rudy; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Josephine and Joe.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on October 16, 2018 from 11 am to 1 pm. Memorial service will begin at 1 pm. Burial with full military honors will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 2 pm.
