Peter Anthony Nicolazzi II, 77, of Wheatland, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home  on May 30, 2025.

Born June 6, 1947 in Highland Park, Illinois, Peter was the second son of Peter and Olga (nee Mazzetta) Nicolazzi. He graduated from New Trier High School in 1965 and went on to earn his degrees in Business Administration and Banking & Finance at Northwood University. Since 1972, Peter has owned and operated Carpenter & Smith Restorations, as he was "uniquely qualified to perpetuate the past". His craftsmanship and talents are forever immortalized in dozens of homes, barns, and sacred spaces. A lover of all things old, Pete was also a vintage Harley enthusiast and a master tinkerer.

While known to many for his love of carpentry and motorcycles, there is nothing Pete loved more than his family. He wed the love of his life, Maureen (Mo) O'Connor on September 22, 1979. A loving husband, Dad, and Papa, he is survived by Mo and their two daughters, Alice (Brandon) Clanton of Twin Lakes and Catherine (Ryan) Milligan of Lake Geneva, as well as his adoring grandchildren, Reid (6), Isabel (3), Josie (2), and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald Nicolazzi.

Pete's family will always cherish and remember his quick wit, his sometimes brutal honesty, and most of all his unwavering devotion and pride for his wife, children, and grandchildren. To know him was to love him, and though he may be gone from this life, he leaves behind a lifetime legacy of love, kindness, and staying true to oneself.

Per his wishes, no funeral services will be held. The family asks instead that those wishing to honor Pete's memory do so by spending time with the ones they love, sharing stories and making memories to last a lifetime.
