Rae Ellen Immenschuh, 80, of Union Grove, passed away on December 7th, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 28th, 1936 to Adolph Joseph and Frenda Jean (Bigelow) Mistele in Tomah Wisconsin. Rae met the love of her life, Albert "Al" Immenschuh , of Al's Garage Doors, while he was stationed at Fort McCoy during the Korean War. They married on June 15th, 1957 and raised six children and a foster son together over their 54 years of marriage.

Rae was an accomplished teacher, musician, and artist. She taught special education in the Union Grove school system for over 20 years. Helping children to reach their full potential was one of her greatest passions. For over 40 years she served on the board of Teacher Place & Parent Resources, of Burlington Wi. She was also an accomplished musician and played 7 different instruments, taught music lessons, and composed her own original musical scores. She was a beloved choir director and organist at St. Robert Bellarmine, for many years, faithfully enhancing the religious services with her musical talents.

Rae is survived by her six loving children, Jo Immenschuh, Jill Immenschuh (Dan Hernandez), Jana Aude, James (Linda) Immenschuh, Mickey (Greg) Zibung, and Kris (Jim) Morton; foster son, Richard Engelhart; her grandchildren, Moria (Chad) Trautman, Patricia (Jessica) Seligmiller, Cory Sommerfeld, Ricky Aude (Samantha Mayerhofer), Sara Aude, Cody Zibung, Caily Zibung, Kena Zibung, and Sammy Immenschuh; and by her great-grandchildren, Haidyn Trautman, Jayvion Aude, Amya Aude, and Joseph Aude. Rae was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sisters, and husband.

Visitation will be held at St. Robert Bellarmine Church on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 2 pm - 4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Fr. Russell Arnett will begin at 4 pm. Burial at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 3 pm.
