Raymond E. (Ray) Clifford, age 85 of The Villages, Florida, passed away March 17th, 2023. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years Linda A. Clifford (nee Katzke), children Kathleen Parker and Vicki Toorian, both residents of Michigan. Step-son and daughter-in-law Gregory and Erica Storm, 4 grandchildren, Aidan, Connor, Marin and Kate Storm, brother Patrick Clifford and his wife Nancy. Brothers and sisters-in-law Christine Sjoberg, Louis and Gina Katzke, Jenni Bannier, Andrew and Lisa Katzke, Diane and Jeff Knueppel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Raymond and Cecilia Clifford.

Ray attended Catholic elementary school, St. Charles Preparatory High School and the Ohio State University. He later enlisted in the U.S. Army, spent a year training in Texas, and 2 years at Army-Europe headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany. Following the Army, he worked for Lennox Industries in Columbus, Michigan and Denver in finance, distribution management, sales and sales management. He later worked for the Trane Company, also in sales.

He also was a member of the Ohio Army National Guard, serving in various capacities - unit commander (3 units), tactical officer and staff officer, retiring after 22 years with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Visitation and memorial service will be held on Thursday July 27th, 2023, at the Miller-Reesman Funeral Home. Followed with a Military burial at the Southeastern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery located in Union Grove, WI.

Donations to the family will be used at the Veterans Nursing Home activities in Rays Honor.
