Richard A. Heusdens "Dick", age 76, passed away on August 22, 2023 at Burlington Aurora Hospital. Richard was born on May 4, 1947, in Racine, the son of the late John R. and Evelyn D. (nee Schultz) Heusdens.

Richard was a talented man that spent most of his working years doing the work he loved most as an auto mechanic and performing auto body work. He lived in Porterville, California for many years but was always a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, even in the years that they experienced losing streaks. He painted his entire garage door in California with the Green Bay Packers emblem to be sure everyone knew the team he cheered for. Richard loved dirt track racing and enjoyed participating in the sport with his four sons as part of their pit crew and cheering section. He loved the oldies station, the Beach Boys, camping and anything to do with Christmas. When Richard was not cheering on his Packers or enjoying NASCAR he spent time manicuring his yard.

Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Theresa M. Heusdens (nee Stuhr), six children, Richard A. (Michelle) Heusdens, Michael J. Heusdens, Jodi B. (John) Payne, Dennis A. (Nerissa) Heusdens, Jeffrey P. (Ashley) Heusdens, and Carrie L. Heusdens, three grandsons, twelve granddaughters, seven great grandsons and five great granddaughters, three brothers, John Heusdens and Michael (Rose Bogosian) Heusdens, Mike Gatzke (Diane), two sisters, Penny Paulson (Doug Dan), Christine (Kevin) Swomia and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Joyce Kennow (nee Heusdens).

A family celebration of life will be held by the family in Fredonia, WI on October 21st.  Details will be shared with family and friends soon.
