Richard Glen Delaney

Richard Glen Delaney, born March 14, 1929, in Forest, Wisconsin, was the son of John E. Delaney and Ella M. (Nelson) Delaney. He was one of eight boys raised in the Delaney family.

Richard moved to Kenosha, where he worked at Nash-Kelvinator before being called to serve his country in the United States Army. He proudly served for two years with the 1st Armored Division as a tank and track mechanic.

After his military service, Richard worked as a glazier with Local 27 Glaziers Union for 40 years, retiring in 1982.

On March 14, 1951, Richard married Charlotte, beginning a marriage that would last 75 years. Together they built a life centered around family and shared many wonderful years together.

Richard had a love for the outdoors and adventure. He especially enjoyed hunting elk and deer and riding his Harley.

In his final year, Richard and Charlotte lived with their grandson, Jason and his wife, Claudia, who lovingly cared for them and shared their home. Richard passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2026, surrounded by his beloved wife, Charlotte, and close family.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; his son, Jeff, his daughter, Nancy, and her partner, Larry; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Richard will be remembered for his love of family, his adventurous spirit, his time spent outdoors, and the many memories he created throughout his long and meaningful life.
