Racine – Richard John Furuglyas, age 78, passed away on November 5, 2023, at Oak Ridge Care Center in Union Grove. He was born in Racine on June 24, 1945, to parents Alex and Julia (nee. Bednyak) Furuglyas. Dick was a proud US Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War during 1965-1967. He married Patricia Smith on June 27, 1970, and together they raised three children. Dick enjoyed the outdoors especially mushroom hunting and fishing. Above all he loved the Lord and spending time with his family.

Dick is survived by his wife, Pat; children, Brian (Angela), Tina (Jeff) and Robert (Crissy); grandchildren, Brandon (Annie), Kayla (Jerome), Zoe (Ben), Walter (Aaliyah), Isaiah, Faith and Camden; siblings, Mike (Faye), Julie (Ron), Mary (Bobbie), and Nancy; brother-in-law, Richard (GiGi); and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alex (Dorothy), George (Joan), James (Jean), Frankie; and sister, Betty (Gene).

A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
