Racine – Rita Ina King (nee. Jirgensen), age 62, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2017 at Ascension Healthcare – All Saints. She was born on March 9, 1955 to John and Arija Jirgensen. From an early age through her 20's, she studied dance and performed at special events through the Milwaukee, Kenosha, and Racine areas. In the mid 1980's, she took a job at Rapid Transportation in Racine and later, Case-New Holland, working as an executive secretary. She kept that position until she married Charles King on March 28, 1992. Then staying home to take care of two puppies. Rita enjoyed aquasize, Broadway shows, figure skating, dance, and movies of all venues. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; brother and sister-in-law, Edwin & Patti Jirgensen; niece, Heather Jirgensen; nephew, Robert Jirgensen; Charles' daughter, Amy King-Forgetta; brother-in-law, Kevin King; grandchildren, and many other close relatives and friends.

A short service will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Please meet at the chapel.
