Lake Geneva – Robert D. Burris, Jr., passed away on September 20, 2016, at his residence. He was born on October 4, 1932 in West Plaines, Missouri, to parents Robert and Bess (nee. Denning) Burris. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Starting in 1960, he lived in Palatine, IL and for the past 9 years, was living in Lake Geneva. In his free time, he loved fresh water fishing and coaching baseball. Robert was a huge Cubs and Bears fan. He was a loving husband and very devoted to his family.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Helen; his children, DeLoyd (Vicki) Burris, Teresa (Phil) Piccolo, and Scott Burris; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Travis, Kris, Justin, Shaun, Ryan, Aaron, and Chelsea; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Robert's family and friends will be held on September 27, 2016, at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home from 9:30-11:30am. Interment and full military honors will follow at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
