New Berlin - Robert D. Du Charme, age 90, passed away peacefully at his residence on March 30, 2019. He was born on April 1, 1928 to parents Thomas and Lona (nee. Wallace) Du Charme in Iron Mountain, Michigan.

Robert enlisted in the United States Coast Guard at age 17 and served as an officer's cook aboard a troop transport ship during WWII.

He was married to Jeanette on February 16, 1952. They lived in New Berlin the majority of their marriage, where they raised their children.

Robert had many accomplishments in his life, from owning his own realty business to serving as the director of Housing and Urban Development for WI. He was also very active serving in his community and church.

Robert is survived by his wife, Jeanette T. Du Charme (nee. Van Den Langenberg), children: Robert (Heidi) Du Charme, Cheryl (Roger) Lynch, Daniel (Jane) Du Charme and Michael (Jennifer) Du Charme, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hales Corners on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 10 - 11 am. Funeral services will begin at 11 am. Burial with full military honors will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin.
