Ronald Zakrzewski, age 91, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI passed away on Tuesday, March
12, 2024, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove, WI.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the
Stonebridge Church on Friday, April 5, 611 Cook Avenue, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Burial
will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids at a later date.

Ronald (Ron) was born on September 20, 1932, in Stevens Point, WI to Max and Marie
(Lubinski) Zakrzewski. Ron attended P.J. Jacobs High School, graduating in 1950. He
joined in the U.S. Army serving in Oberammergau, Germany from 1951 – 1953. Later,
while employed at Consolidated Papers, he met the love of his life Jane (Jeffrey)
Zakrzewski and married on May 3, 1969, sharing 53 years of marriage before widowing
in 2022. Ron was a computer programmer at Consolidated Papers and worked there for
over 40 years upon his retirement.

Ron enjoyed golfing, fishing, and playing cards with friends and family. He had a love for
classical music, Chopin to be his favorite, and often played the piano for his friends and
family. For several years, he also served playing his piano melodies for nursing homes
in the Wisconsin Rapids area with his wife by his side.

Ron loved to 'show the sites' of several states over his family's growing years, but his
most treasured place to be with his wife was Lake Minoqua, enjoying pontoon rides and
oil painting.

Ron is survived by his children, Thomas (Erika) Zakrzewski, and Ann Brensel;
grandchildren, Owen Zakrzewski (Midajah Decker), Eli Zakrzewski, Abigail Brensel,
Chase Staven, Tyler Staven (Aly Townsend); great-grandchildren Harmony Staven,
Nora Staven; sister Maxine (Jim) Mayek; nephews Tim, James, Jeffrey, niece Leslie and
many other relatives and friends.

Ronald was preceded in death by his wife Jane, brother Norman, niece Mary
(Jagodzinski) Lenk, parents, and grandparents.
