Roswitha was born October 25, 1948 in Ingolstadt, Germany to Vladislav and Anni Davidovic and came to the US with them in 1951. She attended Racine Public Schools and graduated from Park High School.

She met the love of her life, Jim, and married him on February 24, 1968 in Racine at St. Edwards Church. They then went to California where Jim was stationed with US Naval Air. She returned to Racine in May 1968 when Jim went to Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in January 1969, and they made Racine home again.

Conscientious, caring, always loving, and never afraid to speak her opinion. She will be deeply missed.

Rose is survived by her husband of 53 plus years, James R. Poplawski; three sons: Scott Michael (Karen) Poplawski, David Josef Poplawski, and Daniel James Poplawski; grandchildren who she watched and cared for from birth to school age: James B. Poplawski, Samantha Ann Poplawski, Anna Rose Poplawski, David Poplawski Jr., and Aden Poplawski; step grandchildren: Marguis and Miera Smith; great grandchildren: Paisley and Nolan Poplawski; and sibling: Tammy Davidovic.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Davidovic.

As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or service.

Memorials have been suggested by the family to Racine Vocational Ministries or St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Racine.
