Rosemary Bergsma, long-time resident of Springfield, WI, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the age of 89. She was born June 27, 1929, the second daughter to Calvin and Sadie Behl in Assumption, Illinois . She is survived by 3 sisters: Betty (George) Pulver of Arizona, Josie (Wayne) Johnson of California, and Patricia (Victor) Johnson of Illinois.

She was married to Louis Bergsma for almost 60 years, raising 7 children: John of Como, Linda (Lyle) Albers of Montello, Michael (Linda) of Edgerton, Pamela (Larry) Kundert of Lake Geneva, Peter (Mary) of Springfield, Susan (Ted) Fellows of Louisville, OH, and Barbara of Avoca. She has 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis, daughter Linda, brother-in-laws George and Wayne, and great-granddaughter Taylor .

Rosemary was a prolific letter writer and always kept her hands busy with baking, canning, sewing, and especially knitting. She spun her own yarn and kept everyone in the family supplied with sweaters and hats. Over the years she donated many hats to the community through the library, school, and church. Because she was an avid reader, the family will be donating any memorial gifts to the Lake Geneva Public Library.
