Rosemary Matsen

May 16, 1948 - November 6, 2025

Rosemary (Sanchez) Matsen was born on May 16, 1948, at Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, to Consuelo Cavazos Sanchez and Tomás Reyes Sanchez. She passed away unexpectedly on November 6 at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, in a room full of family and love.

Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Richard Matsen, and their nine children, Cathleen Krier (preceded in death by her husband Kevin Krier), Cassandra, Cecily, Morris, Richard Thomas, Carmen Zahn (Jeff Zahn), Consuelo Maull (Damell Maull), Mark, and Matthew (Patricia Matsen).

She is also survived by her seven brothers, Tomás Reyes Sanchez II, Crescencio R. Sanchez II (Cathy Sanchez), Frederico C. Sanchez, Joe Sanchez, Dave Sanchez, Joseph Sanchez (Angela Sanchez), and Frank Sanchez (Bertha Sanchez).

Rosemary and Richard were blessed to see 55 years of marriage, filled with family, faith, and love. They shared the joy of 31 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In our hearts, we will hold onto the memories and forever honor the legacy of a remarkable woman who made a lasting impact on so many people.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 19, at 1 p.m. at Word of Faith Family Church, 1619 N Newman Rd, Mt. Pleasant, WI 53406. Fellowship and food will follow at Infusino's Banquet Hall at 4 p.m.(For Immediate Family & close Friends).
