Roy Eugene Beck, 100, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at his residence in Salem, WI.

Roy was born on August 15th,1923 to Roy and Orlou (nee. Wilson) Beck in Alliance, OH. He married his sweetheart, Dorothy D. Alldredge, on April 9th, 1944, in Alliance, OH. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps during WWII and rose to the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He was a pilot trainer, teaching other pilots how to fly B-17 bombers. He liked to tell people that he had 1000 hours of 4-engine flying time by the time he was 22 years old! In later years, his love for flying continued and he owned 2 private planes. During his working years, he worked as Production Engineer at Anaconda American Brass in Kenosha, WI. Later, when Dorothy began to work as a realtor, they established Beckwood Real Estate. Roy and Dorothy's greatest joy was their family. Roy also loved horses and had many over the years at their home in Salem, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his three sisters, and his beloved wife of 71 years, Dorothy. He is survived by his children, Carol (Neil) Rowe of Long Grove, IL, Tom Beck of Newberry, FL, and Cindy (Stephen) Nelson of Salem WI; grandchildren, Neil Rowe, Rebecca (Josh) Grinstead, and Mark (Cyndi) Nelson; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Luke Rowe, Liam and Ivy Grinstead, and Heath and River Nelson.

Private services were held with burial at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.
