Racine – Sally Frances Bedard, age 80, passed away on April 4, 2024, at Parkview Gardens in Racine. She was born in Collinwood Tennessee on July 22, 1943, to parents Wesley and Cora (nee. Heathcoat) Roberson. Sally graduated from Collinwood High School in 1961. She migrated to Kansas City to live with her half-sister Bess Freeman, where she met the love of her life, Ronald J. Bedard. They got married on September 10, 1963. She enjoyed working the service desk at Piggly Wiggly in Union Grove for over 30 years. Sally was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, cooking, and she could fix just about anything.  She loved being a mom, taking care of her home, family and pets.

She is survived by her husband, Ron; children, Phyllis B. (Raymond) Krueger, Philip (Marisa) Bedard, and Margaret R. Herrero; siblings, Jack (Christine) Roberson and Peggy (Clyde) Azlin; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Junita, Betty, Robert, and Johnny.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 12 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm with a memorial service to begin at 7.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Legion Post 171.
