Union Grove - Sarah Cayemberg, age 76, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 4, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 27, 1948, to John and Elizabeth (née Dilger) O'Rourke in Chicago, IL. Her early life was spent in River Forest, IL, where she graduated from Trinity High School in 1966 as the state champion swimmer in the breaststroke. Following high school, Sarah attended Loyola University Chicago.

She started her career in the commodity business working for Cargill Investor Services in St. Louis, where she met her husband, Glen Cayemberg. Sarah and Glen were married on July 1, 1972, in Watertown, WI.  They moved to Union Grove in 1977, where they raised their six children. Sarah was a longtime member of St. Robert's Catholic Church and the Parent Teacher Organization, and she earnestly supported her children and grandchildren in their hobbies and interests. She joined Grove Insurance as its second employee and over her forty years with the organization helped it become the cornerstone family business it remains today. She worked side by side with her husband, daughter, son, and grandson.

Sarah was an exceptionally kind person.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and she always put her family first. She is survived by her loving children: John (Jennifer) Cayemberg, Eric (Terrie) Cayemberg, Erin (Josh) Bruschuk, Ellen (Daniel) Gruhn, Meaghan (Doug) Byrnes, and Michael (Jessica) Cayemberg; and her cherished grandchildren: Kellen, Grace, Elizabeth, Nolan, Elle, Liam, Annabel, Owen, Henry, Eden, and Katherine.  She was expecting her 12th grandchild in March 2025, who she adoringly nicknamed "Baby Lovie."  Sarah's nurturing spirit and unwavering support made her a beloved figure in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, James (Margaret) O'Rourke and Elizabeth (John) Fodor. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth, and her siblings, John, Clark, Joan, and Michael.

Sarah was preceded in death by, Glen, her beloved husband of 48 years.

Visitation will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on March 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Union Grove on March 14, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am. Burial at Union Grove Memorial Cemetery will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating, in the name of Patrick O'Rourke, to Misericordia Heart of Mercy, an organization that was dear to her heart which serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
