Scott M. O'Connor

Scott M. O’Connor, 64, passed away June 10, 2026. He was born to Samuel and Carol (Lahti) O’Connor in Rhinelander, WI. He graduated from Moraine Park Technical College. He worked for Eder Nursery and Winn-Dixie before employing himself as a handyman. He was a long-time member of the Alcoholics Anonymous group. He was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Scott enjoyed the great outdoors, camping and fishing. He was passionate about helping his family and friends. He was skilled in more things than we could mention. He will be sadly missed by all.

Scott is survived by the love of his life, Barb Poisl and her children, Nicholas and Mary; and her father, Dennis Poisl; his mother, Barbara O’Connor; siblings, Bryan (Ramona) O’Connor, Jeffrey O’Connor (Stephanie Draus), Bonnie Dugan, and Daniel Claire; nephews, Clayton (Cody McDonald) O’Connor and Jacob O’Connor; and great-nephew, Finn O’Connor. He is further survived by his aunts and uncles, Edward O’Connor, David (Karen) O’Connor, Evelyn O’Connor, Joyce Brook, Arlene Say, Gary (Mary) Voge, and Barb (Bill) Haenel; and many, many cousins and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Sam O’Connor; sister, Lynda J. Petersen; brother-in-law, Timothy Petersen; aunts and uncles, Sonny (Lois) O’Connor, Bob O’Connor, Jerry (Gloria) Roeder; Bonnie O’Connor and Sandra (Dale) Rodgers; and many cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held in Scott’s name for family and friends at Lockwood Park on Sunday, June 28th from noon to four.
