Shelby E. Church, age 60, passed away on July 6, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. She was born on March 15, 1966, to Arlie and Patricia (nee. West) Church. Shelby was the youngest of eight children and grew up in Kansasville where her love of nature began. She learned to fish and enjoyed spending time on the lake. She grew up attending St. Mary’s Catholic Church and graduated from Burlington High School in 1984.

Shelby dedicated her life to caring for others, always opening her door to guests, and offering warmth and comfort to those in need. Known for her kind heart and sweet disposition, Shelby was always smiling. She loved her family more than anything, particularly sharing a special bond with her granddaughter, Payton. Her compassionate nature and radiant smile will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Shelby is survived by her daughter, Nicole Reid; granddaughter, Payton Reid; partner, Tom Porter; siblings, Linda Degroot, Connie (Kevin) Rusk, Mike Church, Julie (Steve) Norgelos, Kay (David) Lorenz, Joe (Jess) Church, and Mary (Kevin) McNamara; and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Shelby was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie and Particia Church; brother-in-law, John Degroot; and nephew, Michael Church.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 12pm – 5pm at County Line Hall. 103 200th Ave Union Grove, WI 53182
