Burlington – Stephen Michael Bloodworth, age 77, passed away on March 30, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington. He was born on September 28, 1947, in Woodbury, Georgia to Clint Bloodworth and Alberta Hernandez (nee Filer). Steve spent his career in the trucking industry as a driver for many years but loved being a dispatcher more than anything. He started at Recycle Transport and then founded Sylvia Eagle Express Transport. He looked forward to the Annual Family Picnic that started in 1996.

Steve is survived by his children; Stevie and Erica; sister, Lenette; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Alberta; sisters, Sylvia, Mary, and Linda; and brothers, Jerry and Tommy.

A visitation will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park on Thursday, April 3 from 10 am – 11 am with a prayer service to begin at 11. Burial will immediately follow.
