Racine – Steven P. Vento, age 72, passed away on December 2, 2020 at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. He was born on December 30, 1947 to parents Sal and Dorothy (nee. May) Vento. Steven proudly served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War, serving two tours. Following his military service, he was a police officer with the Milwaukee Police Department for over 30 years. In his spare time he enjoyed being around family, especially during pasta and poker nights.  He also enjoyed coffee while playing video games with his grandchildren.  During winter, he would look forward to visiting Shawn and his family, in California.  He sure hated the winter weather in Wisconsin, but no matter where, his family and friends loved having him around all-year long. Steven will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by loving wife, Magdalena Gregorio-Vento; sons, Tony (Joy), Shawn (Van), Ryan (Maria), and Steven (Ada); grandchildren, Miguel, Devin, Connor, Gino, Ethan, Hope, Elijah, Maddox, Mathias, and Dominic; brothers, Kenneth and David; many other relatives, family and friends.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dennis.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, followed by funeral services at 6:00 pm. Burial with full military honors will take place at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Please meet at the funeral home at 2:30 pm for the procession to the cemetery.
