Sue Ann Kerkman, age 92, was born to eternal life on April 3, 2026, at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice. She was born on March 16, 1934, in Lake Geneva, WI to LeLand and Mabel (Colin) Malsch. She graduated from Lake Geneva High School in 1952 and was awarded the Rock County Medical auxiliary nurse scholarship. Sue Ann attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Janesville, WI, graduating in 1955.
Sue Ann married Ronald Kerkman on September 17, 1955, and together they raised eight children.

Sue Ann was an accomplished seamstress and quilter. She also enjoyed gardening, listening to music, painting, many crafts, bird watching and spending time with family. Sue Ann had a great sense of adventure and found many activities to pursue with her friend Shirley and their children. Sue Ann traveled with her husband on many memorable road trips, and they enjoyed camping and snowmobiling. She was very involved at St. Robert's Bellarmine Catholic Church from the time the congregation was started. She and Ron went on a mission trip with the youth group, and she was a Eucharistic minister.

Sue Ann is survived by her children, Mary (Steve) Bernstein, Martin (Terry) Kerkman, Chuck (Sue) Kerkman, Paul (Dodie) Kerkman, Ann (Tony Varney) Kerkman, and daughter-in-law, Vicki Mandli, son-in-law, Al Hogg; 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Nancy Wooster, Joe (Ann Mallory) Malsch, Helen Vigansky, Barbara (Lee) Madsen, Ronald (Holly) Malsch, Dale (Lynn Grimm) Malsch; sisters-in-law, Carol Kerkman and Jean (Bob) Lois, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sue Ann was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Janet Hogg; sons, Neal and Bill Kerkman; grandson, Chuckie Kerkman; brothers, John Malsch, Richard Malsch, James Malsch, Thomas Malsch, and Robert Mullis; brother and sister-in-law, Roger (Gayle) Kerkman; brother-in-laws, Rich Kerkman, Jerry Vigansky, and John Wooster; sisters-in-law, Karen Malsch and Mary Jane Malsch.

Visitation will be held at St. Robert's Bellarmine Catholic Church on April 25 from 9 am – 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 am. Immediately following, she will be laid to rest next to her husband at Union Grove Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aurora Zilber Family Hospice.
