Racine – Terrence E. Downes, age 66, passed away on April 6, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family. Terry was born to parents Emmett and Joan (nee. Hansen) Downes on May 21, 1956, in Evergreen Park, IL. They moved to Racine when he was a child, and he spent the rest of his life there. While growing up he had two father figures, Dan Behmke and Fred Sajdik. Terry worked as a truck driver for many years locally and long haul. He married Jeanette Miller Ryan on July 22, 2000, and helped raise her three children.

Terry is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jeanette Downes; children, Barbara LaFaive, Jonas R. Schommer and Tammy Ashley; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and two on the way in July and November; sisters, Ann K (Rick), Susan (Stacy), Bridget, Fran (Dave), Barb (Larry), Mary (Paul); brothers, Brian and Phillip; lifelong friend, Rick DiBlasio; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and son in law, Justin LaFaive.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on April 13 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm with a memorial service to begin at 2.
