Union Grove - Theodore "Ted" Charles Young, age 74, passed away at Oak Ridge Care Center in Union Grove. He was born on August 9, 1949, to parents, Herbert and Florence (nee. Reesman) Young. Ted graduated from Union Grove High School in 1967 and went on to work as a state meat safety inspector. He served in the U.S. Army as a cook during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Alaska. Ted was a member at St. Robert's Bellarmine Church and loved getting together with family after church. He enjoyed fishing, telling stories, socializing with friends and family, and spending time at his trailer in the Wisconsin Dells.

Ted is survived by his siblings, Patricia (Thomas) Boehme and William (Sue) Young; nieces and nephews, Joseph (Emily) Young, Jodi (Dominic) Governatori, Sherri (Keith) Hauersperger, Laurie (Bryan) Anderson, Kelli (Scott) Phillips; great nieces and nephews, Wyatt, Cheyenne, Anthony, Alex, Jacob, Shelby, and Maya; special friend, Dolly Brunn; and many other relatives and friends.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Florence Young, and nephew, Micheal Young.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 19th at 11:00 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Full military honors will immediately follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
