Thomas Boehme, 86, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, at Oak Ridge Care Center with his family next to him. He was born on November 19, 1939, to Alvin and Florence (nee Peterman). Raised in Racine, WI, he graduated from St. John Nepomuk grade school and St. Catherine's High School Class of 1957, going on to attend UW-Parkside. Thomas worked as a chemist in research and development for S. C. Johnson Wax for over 40 years. He loved his work and his family remembered him performing experiments at the State Fair for his work on Raid insect control and surveys of the public for his work on Glade candles. Tom married the love of his life, Patricia Young, on October 14, 1988.

He participated in the Jaycee's and was a former president. He liked golfing in his spare time, as well as fishing and traveling with Patricia. Tom was also a devoted Wisconsin sports fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially taking care of his grandchildren.

Thomas is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia; children, Kelli (Scott) Phillips, Laurie (Bryan) Anderson, and Sherri (Keith) Hauersperger; grandchildren, Jacob, Shelby, and Maya; brother, Merrill; and nieces, Mary Jo (Jeff) Krueger, Karen (Robert) Mackey, and Julie (Dale) Alexander. He is further survived by Patricia's brother, Bill (Sue) Young; nephew, Joe (Emily) Young; and niece, Jodi (Dominic) Governatori.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Clarice (Hans) Mauer; sister-in-law, Germaine Boehme; brother-in-law, Ted Young; and nephew, Michael Young.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Oak Ridge Care Center for providing such love and care that they became a second family to Thomas and Patricia.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, February 7 at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home from 10 am – 12 noon. Prayer service will begin at 12 noon. Private burial will take place at West Lawn Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Racine Habitat for Humanity and the Salvation Army in Tom's name.
