Thomas L. LaMere, 83, passed away January 17, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. He was born October 3, 1940, one of nine children to Leroy and Ruth LaMere. Thomas graduated high school from a one room schoolhouse in Bagley, WI. He was a proud Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. He worked as a steam fitter and was a member of Local Union 601. His hobbies included fishing and hunting and he also enjoyed watching Western movies. He was very a selfless man and loved being a grandpa and great-grandfather.

Thomas is survived by his children, Kevin (Jean), Tim, Kristen, Todd (Nicole), and Kirk; grandchildren, Alexandra, Danielle, Erik, Jacob, Josiah, Kaitlyn, Thomas, Nicolas, Alaina, and Kendra; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five of his siblings, Theresa, Jerry, Ann, Cathy, and Judy.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Mary, Danny, and Alan, and his wife, Carol.

Visitation for family and friends will be held January 31, 2024, from 10 am - 12 noon at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home. Prayer service will begin at 12 noon. Burial with full military honors will be at 1 pm at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
