Mount Pleasant- Antoinette "Toni" Schmidt (Kwas), 83, passed away May 8, 2023 at Ridgewood Care Center. She was born September 9, 1939 to Theophile and Mary (Rorek) Kwas in Racine, WI. She graduated from St. Catherine's High School. She was married to George Schmidt for 44 years prior to his passing in 2020. Toni retired from Master Appliance where she worked as a secretary for over twelve years.

Toni enjoyed painting ceramics and collecting elephants. In her younger years she was in several bowling leagues and would camp with her family at Lazy Days Campground in West Bend.

Toni is survived by her son, Damion; daughter-in-law, Sunny Pedersen; grandchildren, Xavier Schmidt, Kayleigh Schmidt, Dylan Schmidt, and Brendon Pedersen; brother, Ted Kwas; nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

Toni was preceded in death by her husband, George; parents, Theophile and Mary; and brother, Tom Kwas.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Saturday, May 27 from 1-3 pm. Memorial service will be at 3 pm.
