Kenosha - William "Bill" Michael Marshall, age 69, passed peacefully in his sleep on April 14, 2025. He is now at rest after a long battle with end stage renal failure.

The son of Michael H. and Pauline E. (nee Patton) Marshall, Bill was born on September 27, 1955, in Oak Park, IL. Bill was the third of four children. During childhood visits to his uncle's cabin, Bill met the Winters Family, who would eventually grow into lifelong friends and then family. Bill joined the US Air Force in 1973 and proudly served until 1977. Following his service, Bill returned to Illinois where he found the love of his life, Peggy. Bill and Peggy were married on August 18, 1979, after a whirlwind romance and celebrated almost 46 years together. Continuing a life of service, Bill spent over 25 years working as a safety and security dispatch officer for Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, IL. Always a night owl, Bill spent those years working the third shift. On his nights off, he spent many late evenings watching movies with his kids.

After raising their family in Bellwood, IL for 17 years, Bill and Peggy moved to Kenosha, WI in 2000. It was there he spent the rest of his life with his wife, kids and eventually visits from grandkids. Adding a longer commute at the time didn't bother Bill, who was fond of driving. Bill had a love for long road trips and many family vacations were spent "flying low" with his wife and kids across many states to visit amusement parks, monuments, and scenic spots. He instilled a love of cars, music, movies and reading in all of his children. Bill became a grandfather in 2008 and to anyone who knew him, it was clear that his children and grandchildren were his everything. As much as he loved being a dad, he loved being a "papa" even more.

Bill is survived and cherished by his wife, Peggy (nee Erwin) Marshall; his children, Jonathan Marshall, Melissa (Mark) Bruce, Anthony (Shannon) Marshall, Michael Marshall, Jennifer Urban, Wesley (Samantha Steinke) Marshall, and Bea (Logan Ridge) Marshall; grandchildren, Hannah Bruce, Caleb Urban, Amadeaus Teach, Caylee Urban, Noah Bruce, Hailey Marshall, Lorelai Marshall, and William Marshall; lifelong friends, Janice Winters and Sissy Winters; and many nieces and nephews.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Michael H. and Pauline E. Marshall; his sister, Dee Manning; lifelong friends, Mrs. Winters and Sonny Winters; his Angel Baby Girl and his angel baby boy, Matthew William. Bill's family is grateful for the years they had with him and at peace knowing that he has looked forward to being reunited with his angel babies at long last.

Bill will be laid to eternal rest on Monday, April 21, 2025. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home, followed by a brief service at 1:00 PM. A commitment service and military honors will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 2:00 prior to his burial.
