Conover, WI - Wilson D. Scott, age 89, passed away peacefully with his wife at his side at the Veterans Home in Union Grove, Wisconsin on August 15th, 2019.

Wilson "Scotty" is survived by his wife Genevieve of 63 years, sons David (Jean) and John (Carrie), and many loving grandchildren, great grandchild, Sister Carol Ann, and extended family. Scotty was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.

In his younger years, he enjoyed spending time on the seaside beaches of NJ sailing and racing MG's and other two seat sport cars around the circles connecting the mainland causeways to the Jersey shore.  Scotty loved to play the drums and was a backup drummer for one of the early rock bands. After graduating high-school he entered the Air Force and spent time in the service of his country during the Korean conflict.  Scotty owned his own HVAC business and worked many years for Pepper Construction before retiring. Scotty spent his early retirement days representing the good citizens of Vilas County, WI as a County Supervisor.  He also loved spending time in the local establishments sharing stories with all of those who would listen.

Scotty loved collecting vintage cameras, making jewelry.  He also enjoyed crafting and selling things on Ebay. Scotty was always there to help friends and never missed his sons' track or cross country meets.  Scotty will be remembered for his big smile, hearty greeting, and outgoing personality.

A joint memorial service for Scotty and Gen will be held on September 21, 2019 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home Chapel – Union Grove, WI, officiated by Pastor Scott Carson. The chapel is located between Boland and Gates Halls. Together, they will be laid to rest at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.
